Trying to trace Andrea Brucato and Rosa Maria Serra

Post by siskojnash »

I'm trying to trace the families of Andrea Brucato and his wife, Rosa Maria Serra. Andrea was born in sant' agata di militello, Messina, Sicily and died before 1904 in Italy. Rosa, I think, was born in 1834 in sant' agata di militello and died there in 1931. Their children were: Francesco Brucato, who was born on February 2, 1874 in sant' agata di militello and died on February 15, 1930 in New York City, possibly the Bronx; Rosario Brucato, born on November 28, 1875 in sant' agata di militello and died March 13, 1966 in Yonkers, New York; Giuseppe Brucato, born on November 26, 1879 in sant' agata di militello and died on March 23, 1965 in New York; and Marietta Brucato, born in 1883 in sant' agata di militello and died on March 20, 1969 in New York. I already have a birth record for Rosario Brucato in this town, but would really like to find out more about the family. I don't know whether or not there could have been other children I don't know about. Thank you very much for your time.

Thank you so much for these records. Is there anyway to save copies of the birth records? I only noticed the option to save as a webpage, and don't know whether or not it's possible to get the records from that. Also, do you think the records go back far enough to be able to find records of the parents?

It is not possible to save the copies of Birth records as a well of all civil records on antenati website... for a copy you must request it in Messina archive... abt birth records of parents, on line starting from 1826
http://www.antenati.san.beniculturali.i ... ello/Nati/
but Andrea and Rosa Maria parents was born before of 1826 .... maybe could be possible to search the marriage records....

Thank you. I wonder if there were other children for Francesco Serra and Rosalia Gumina or Rosario Brucato and Maria Cefalù. I know this is all information that the family doesn't know at all.
