As Marcello :-D stated, none of these are correct...

As you requested:
Page1 - both are from August 1852
Left is for Agostina Gentile whose mother was Antonia Spicuzza
Right is very difficult to read. Looks like Michela Rocca, age 23
Page 2 - both are dated July 1851
Left is for Mariana Todaro
Right is for Rosalia Scialabba, widow of Salvadore Giuffre

I read:

Died Aug 8, 1852 Agostina Gentile, widow of Angelo Russo. She was age 70 and daughter of dec Giuseppe Gentile and Antonina Spicuzza, living in Termini

Died Aug 10, 1852 Michele Bova, age 23, of dec Ignazio Bova and dec Girolama Palmisano

Died July 29, 1851 Marianna Todaro, age 8 mos, dau of (can’t decipher what is before the name Antonino) Todaro and Maria Anna Longo

Died Aug 30, 1851 Donna Rosalia Scialabba, spouse of Don Salvadore Giuffre, age 50, daughter of dec Agostino Scialabba and dec Giuseppa Ressitano(sp?)

When I looked at this earlier I read Marianna's surname as "Sodaro"? I've just checked some indices of Termini and this was a name in the town back then. Possibly "Todaro" was also but didn't see this surname.

I can't decipher what it says before Antonino either.

I also saw that there was the Sodaro surname in the town. T originally typed Todaro, which is also a surname there. I think the problem is that little line coming off of the initial letter-so I really wasn't sure which way to go.

I totally agree. But looking the other "S" in the document, it seems more a "S" than a "T". Anyway, maybe that little line was a correction made by the officer. In this case, the last name is Todaro.

Since Antonino was a cooper (bottaio), I think the word before Antonino is a shorthened form of "mastro", master.

Sure, it's quite deceptive with that mark. I'm still with the "S" though.

I believe the spelling of Giuseppa's surname is "Russitano".

How are things? Been thinking of you. Will send you a message at the weekend :)

My original feeling was that it was an S and now that I've looked more closely at all the other words in the document that start with T, I do think it is supposed to be Sodaro. I think Marcello's last statement is confusing-self-contradictory to me.

Thank you Erudita. I must have somehow missed your post here while being perplexed by Marcello's reply. I then sent you a reply to your messages. Will be in touch at the weekend if not before.
