brunetti, Petitto, Celino, Saravo

Post by Frisco95 »

This is very complicated, all of these names are linked to my great great grandfather Antonio Petitto. He was supposedly adopted by the Celino's his mother, Isabella Saravo, gave him up for adoption but was in contact with him. In one of her letters she said for him to contact her sis in law Florendina Saravo in Springfield, Massachusetts. His Biological father was a Brunetti. He was born in 1898 and came to America in 1906 on the Italia. When he first arrived in the States he lived near the "Italian Market" neighborhood (South Phila) He settled in Camden, NJ.

Hi Frisco95,

This is the ship record you were talking about?

First Name: Antonio
Last Name: Petitti
Ethnicity: Italian, Italian South
Last Place of Residence: Venafro, Campobasso, Italy
Date of Arrival: Oct 20, 1906
Age at Arrival: 8y Gender: M Marital Status: S
Ship of Travel: Italia
Port of Departure: Naples
Manifest Line Number: 0017

http://ellisisland.org/search/shipManif ... 0091020017

mfjp
further edit From what I can see...

Antonio would be the nephew of the person on line 19 of the manifest. His name is Rocco Celino from Venafro Campobasso.

Antonio would be joining his Grandfather Antonio Vernecchia - at 720 So 8thSt., Philadelphia

Surname could either be Vernacchia or Vernacchio...

Rocco would be joining his brother in law Giov ??? Vernechia(need to zoom in) at the same address...

The surname BRUNO is common in the town of Venafro.
Hope this helps some...

But... what info are you looking for? Did you want info on the woman in Mass.?
