ggmothers death cert.

Post by frankcsr »

I am looking for my ggmothers death cert. She was Maria Costa (maiden name Calapia). She was born in Massa Santa Lucia, Messina Sicily April 11, 1864. I was told when I was a child that she was 100 years old when she died. She had a daughter Maria who married Francesco Crisafulli in Massa Santa Lucia Sicily 1913, then went to the USA. She also had a son I do not know his name.
Any help will be appreciated as I am going to go to Sicily next year and would like to visit the town
Thank you,

Here is the link to her birth record.

Pg.1 http://www.antenati.san.beniculturali.i ... ewsIndex=0

Pg.2 http://www.antenati.san.beniculturali.i ... ewsIndex=0

Unfortunately, there are no annotations on this record with respect to her marriage or death. You could try to write to the town, providing them with the details of this birth record, and ask them to check if their copy of the birth record contains the annotation that would help you find the death record.

Just to add, I think you know that Massa Santa Lucia is now a "frazione" of the comune of Messina, so you would have to write to Messina with your request.
