Hi Dolores

You are doing GREAT!

He died ieri (yesterday - so 27 February)

I read Contrada Ciochiafrasione No 1, but I can't find this at the moment.

You are very welcome. Glad I'm off work today. Deciphering the writing, at different times, can be a challenge for everyone here. I'm not sure if you have had a look at the following link. I found it very helpful when I first starting reading Italian Records two years ago. There is a section on numbers there and also a section on handwriting examples. I already knew most of my numbers, but like you the writing was a challenge, so I printed off the Italian handwriting examples and kept it close by when I was stuck. The examples there are only a sample, there are also others online and in books which are different. After a while you get to know the script used in your town.

Thanks, Angela. I am doing okay with the birth records, just picking out the important stuff, but the death records are another thing, and I don't even want to get into the marriages.......
