Birth Certificate vs Extract of birth certificate

Over 25 million Italians have emigrated between 1861 and 1960 with a migration boom between 1871 and 1915 when over 13,5 million emigrants left the country for European and overseas destinations.

Birth Certificate vs Extract of birth certificate

Post by aabruno »

I am trying to gather certificates to obtain Italian citizenship. I know I need the birth certificate of my grandfather (and greatgrandfather). I already have the Birth Extracts (Estratto dai registri degli atti di nascita) from the Ufficio di Stato Civile from the Comune.

Do I need something else or do I have what I need? Do I need to request an actual certified atti di Nascita?

Thanks!

Anthony

The Estratto dai registri degli atti di nascita is what you need, and you have them already,
