Yes, that is what I read and I believe it does. The topic has come up recently on another thread. So yes, alias - "also known as". Well, that is my understanding :)

You're welcome Donna. That has always been my understanding of what the word "alias" means. In some cases (like spy movies for instance :) ), which you probably already know, the word "alias" is often used to indicate a false name someone is using to hide their true identity but I am very sure this is not the case here :) When I translated the word "alias" from Latin to English it just said "other" and our Latin dictionary tells me other meanings which don't relate.

You certainly have some interesting names in these current records you are looking at.
