Guiseppe Aresca and Luigia Galliano

Post by RosalindJones »

From Mombercelli - we know they had one son (Agostino Aresca) in 1878 but how can we find out if they had other children?

Excellent news - we are closer to finding some living relatives perhaps!
And one of my nieces is called Rosa!

Thank you so so much

Adelfio - the indexes you refer to - are these on Family Search? I can't seem to get into them!

At this link, you will see that there are links to 10-year indexes for records in Mombercelli :-)

Each link begins with the "nati" - births

Many thanks!

Are these records available to see online for everyone - I've looked on Family Search and can't see how to access these direct?

Once you find the record in the index... use the date and record # to search in the particular year.

For example, if you found a record in the index in 1877 for a family member, THEN you would go to the NATI 1877 and search for that record #

How do you get to the Index in the first instance though? (sorry if I'm appearing dense here :) )

The URL I provided above brings you to the links for the ten year indexes (Indici decennali)

For example, when you click on the URL above you will see several links to indexes with the years indicated at the end of the link name...
Indici decennali (nati, matrimoni, morti, cittadinanze) 1866-1875

This would read: 10 year idexes (births, marriages, deaths, censuses) 1866-1875

Click on the one you want to view...
Look through them (they are in Italian - but you only need to be able to read the names and the dates and act numbers) to find a listing for your ancestor...

Tessa - would it be possible to have a link for the years from 1914 up to 1945 - is that feasible?

There is one link that indicates that it contains the INDEXES for 1914 and 1915...
https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.3.1/T ... ,238833801

However, the records themselves are only available through 1910 online and on microfilm.
