1811 Gaetano Nasca Baptism record - Latin translation

Post by jecullen3 »

Hi,

Is there anyone who is able to translate Latin documents? If so I am particularly interested in the portion of the attached document which is handwritten - My GG grandfather - Gaetano Nasca's baptism record listing his parents, Salvatore and Francesca Giacalone, but some other names are listed, but I do not know what they refer to.

In addition, there is additional handwriting at the bottom that I am also having trouble deciphering. Most of the printed form I have been able to work out on my own, but between reading the handwriting and trying to translate, I am a bit stumped.

Any help at all will be most appreciated.

Thank you.
Mary

The complete name is Gaetano, Giuseppe, Giovanni, Salvatore (Cajetanus, Joseph, Joannes, Salvator). He was born and baptized on Feb 2nd, 1811. Godparents were Giuseppe Giacalone and his wife Rosa.

There's no surname for Rosa. The word after her name is the abbreviation for "jugales" = "spouses" :-)
