Looking for the birth record of my grand father Bartolo Messina born 6th of September 1908. Also looking for the birth records of his Parent's. Can anyone help?

You need to tell us which town your grandfather was born so that we can help you. I notice that some of your family are from Lipari. If your grandfather was also born in Lipari then there are currently Lipari records on Family Search. Here is the link for the years 1901-1910. You need to turn the pages (click on the arrow) until you get to 1908.

I ended up having some spare time to locate your grandfather's birth certificate:

It is Image 602, Birth Record No 218, (born on 6 September 1908, as you said). His parents were:

Father: Antonino Messina, 39(1869), villico(farmer)
Mother: Grazia Di Lorezo

My father Said he was sure he was born in Lipari. If he wasn't that will mean I will have to widen my search. I will check if there is a possibility he was born in volcano as my grandfather's 1/2 brother lived in Vulcano.

Thanks Marty will have to check. What about Grazia Di lorenzo wife of Antonino any idea when she was born as the birth certificate was not clear on the year.

Marty Checked with my father and he is sure he was born in Lipari. He had a daughter Giovanna a few years older than Bartolo and Onforio younger and Maria also younger all born in lipari

I looked for marriage record Antonino Messina and Grazia Di lorenzo in Lipari marriage indexes 1878-1910 didn't see them
