DeVivos from Valenzano

Post by forestmaiden71 »

Hello! Just looking for the children of these two:

Michele DeVivo son of Niccol'Antonio
b. 5 December 1862 in Valenzano, Bari, Puglia, Italy

and
Francesca Losorelli daughter of Nicola
b. 5 April 1863 in Valenzano, Bari, Puglia, Italy

I know of 1 child, but I'm wondering if they had more?

Child I know:
Angela DeVivo
b. 15 August 1891

Thanks for any help!

Do not know if you have the marriage of Michele and Francesca :-)
It appears that the child, Angela, was named after Michele's mother...

#11
Dated 8 May 1884 at 10:40 AM at the town office in Valenzano
Before the official... appeared:
1 - Michele De Vivo, single, age 21, shoemaker born in Valenzano and residing in Valenzano, son of deceased Nicola who resided in Valenzano, and of Angela Sardone residing in Valenzano.
2 - Francesca Losorelli, single, age 21 complete, housewife born in Valenzano and residing in Valenzano, daughter of deceased Nicola who resided in Valenzano, and of Teresa De Santis who resides in Valenzano.
Publication of the banns of marriage took place on 27 April and 4 May.
Mother of the groom was present to give her consent.

And another son with the name Giuseppe (possible that the first one died)
#40
Born 18 March 1894

Another daughter, Teresa (who appears to be named after Francesca's mother) :-)
#175
Born 24 November 1896

***
Here is the death of the first Giuseppe...
Age is given as 12 days
#25
Dated 16 February 1890

Just an FYI - over the course of these births, Michele De Vivo's occupation changes from Calzolaio (shoemaker) to Ciabattino (cobbler) :-)

OH wow! Thank you so so much! That's very helpful!

Quick question - does it happen to mention the name of Francesco's bride?

Thanks again!
