Looking for Tassone relatives

Post by Gertie »

My grandmother, Catarina (Tassone) Papasodero came to US from Spadola, So. Italy in Sept. 1904. She came to a brother Giuseppe Tassone in Pottsville, Pa. In Jan. 1905 she married Vito Papasodero. Looking for any info on the Tassone and Papasodero families.

WWI Draft card verifies Vito's birth as 10 Mar 1879; same address as 1920 census.

Death of daughter Rose at age 16 in 1927. Born in 1911 in Norfolk, West Virginia per death certificate. I could not find a Norfolk in WV but did find a town called Northfork in McDowell County WV.

Biff...Thank you for the WW1 Draft card on Vito..I didn't have that. The previous thread reference was posted by me some time ago. We had computer problems and I hadn't been on the site for quite some time. I have Rose's death cert. but no birth cert. for her or Joseph, Anthony or Emma. I have things that say born in Va. or W.Va., but no city or town for any of them. I believe Norfolk is only a guess on their part. I paid a woman from the Palente Center in N.Y. to do some research for me, but she didn't come up with anything. I'm at a loss and could use any help I can get.
