BIRTH NO 3 CARMINE CANCELLIERE
Frigento: 4 January 1877, 8.25 am
Angelo Michele Cancelliere, 46, contadino, living Frigento, reported that at 7.15 pm on 3 January 1877 at a house in Via San Giovanni, No 14, to his wife Anna Stanco, contadina gave birth to a male baby, who he presented and gave the name Carmine.

Witnesses: Gennaro Pelosi, 30, Calzolaio (shoemaker/cobbler) and Marciano Testa, 50, proprietario (landowner), both living Frigento.
All signed except the declarer (Angelo Michele) who said he was illiterate.

Side note: On 22 March 1900 marries Angela Teffa​? di Nicolangelo.

Bride: Angela Teffa, 25, contadina, born and living Frigento, daughter of Nicholangelo, residing Frigento and Raffaela Montecalvo, residing Frigento.

Witnesses: Rocco Ciampi, 25, and Carmine Pelosi, 52, both landowners living in this town.

Banns posted on 4 and 11 March 1900.

Happy to help, Dolores. There are two notions in the margin of the marriage act. I'm not exactly sure what they are referring to though, possibly their church marriage, except it looks like 1942? (or maybe it is 1912?). Someone else hopefully will know what they mean.

Whoops, now that I've had my coffee, everything is clearer. I knew there was something wrong with Teffa. I really don't know what the two notations in the margin mean. I doubt that what I suggested is correct here.

The capital I is always a problem...:) (I use the lower case i in my tree so I can find it when I need it.:)

First notation is a reference to an act of the Tribunal (#164) dated 12 February 1942.
No indication of its purpose.

The second notation is the official's signature indicating he has verified the register as of May 1900. You will notice that the next record is in July :-)
