New to forum and looking for Giuseppe or Salvatore Maida birth date

Hello from San Francisco, California!
I am looking to gain dual citizenship, and I'm just starting the daunting process.
I know that my great grandfather Giuseppe/Joseph Maida(twin to Salvatore/Salvador) was born in 1871 in Maida, Catanzaro province and arrived on the SSROMA(separate from Salvatore who arrived 5 days prior).
My grandfather Nicholas Maida, married to Concetta, was born in 1908 in NY, NY.
I'm looking for exact birth dates as well as the easiest way to obtain records in order to start the process.
Any and all help is much appreciated!

For Giuseppe - write directly to the comune of Maida to make your request.
Include Giuseppe's approximate date of birth, a photo ID and your email address in case they need to contact you.
