Please be more specific in your request, full names, birthdates, spouse and known children, and location. What records have you already researched.......are you looking for Us records or Italian records?

looking for Italian records. I know that Virgilio Petrei came to america in 1907. And i have gone through all the census records here, so i am looking for Virgilio's family records ( mom and dad, brothers, sisters, ect).
I know that he came from Taoromina

Website for Taormina,
http://www.comune.taormina.me.it/
website for your request to Stato civile of Taormina,
http://www.circolocalabrese.org/resourc ... /index.asp
in case you do not read Italian, on site go to left, click on UFFICI COMUNALI, next click on Servizi Demografici, scroll down and you will see info for Stato Civile, they also have email available.

Hello, as I already said on post of last Jan. 13th (click here)

your Virgilio Petrei was not from Taormina (it is a mistake of the volounteers as you can see), but from Trasacco (see column 10 and column of "Place of birth") (click here)

So I suggest you to contact

Comune
Ufficio di Stato Civile
Piazza Municipio, 1
67059 Trasacco (AQ)
Italy

segreteria @ comune.trasacco.aq.it

or

Archivio di Stato di L'Aquila

or rent Trasacco civil record microfilmto FHL (mormon church)

for parish click here

Here there are the Petrei from Trasacco (click here)

I hope it helps, bye Riccardo

Hi there,

Just to let you know, Ricbru is correct with the town's name. It is not Taoromina. He also gave you great clues as to how to order microfilm for the town through a Family History Center or where to write for records if you want to.

I wish you luck with your research

Why state the town of origin as Taormina if you were already given
the correct information in a previous post?
