On the 1881 marriage index, under "L", record # 162 please compare the names in the index to the ones in the actual record. they are not even close, especially the bride. Any ideas as to why and where I could find the marriage listed in the index?

It's because the index you have pulled out here is for Marriage Acts. The records you are looking at are Marriage Banns.
