Good morning everybody...in your respective time zones.
I purchased a copy of my coat of arms but the one that my father showed me looked different. I was wondering if anybody had an idea if this was is legit or if there is another one? As you can tell, I'm not leeching the pic since I already have this one.
If anybody knows, please advise. Thanks in advance.
PS: This pic that I ordered stated it came from the mid 1800's.

Dear FDooks,
your coat of arms is wonderful. Where did you find it?

Re: D'Amore Coat of Arms
I'm sure that someone with more knowledge of this stuff will have a better explanation..............but I read somewhere that the original coat of arms were changed to distinguish the different families of the same surname.
Hope it helps a little.

I would also like to know where you found your Coat of Arms. It's awesome. I would like to find if my family has one.

Hello. I actually found a relatively cheap place online that supplies you with just a picture. It only cost $5.00.
I did however order the scroll with the coat of arms actually from the site above but am, still waiting to hear back.
Try -----> http://www.freecoatsofarms.com/
He send thems usually within 24 hours. The email he sent had the attached picture.
If this is different from another coat of arms that you
might have seen elsewhere, it is because I try and
supply the oldest coat of arms that I can find for a
particular surname. - Quoted from the owner

Thank you for the effort Gaetano. I went to the local book stores and they have a very poor selection of heritage and italian based books other than Italy/Sicily history.
I actually found my father's scroll he had from a while back and the crests very almost 100% similar. The knight helmuts were always faced to the right and it was laid out the same: only it didnt contain the crests.
Does anybody know how to read/symbolize these? Like what the stars, colors, and the things above the stars mean?
Thanks again,
Frank
