Montemiletto

Post by jj_nycguy »

Does anyone have any pics of Montemiletto, AV? I've seen a few online but was wondering if anyone had anything they could share. This is the town my family is from and I've never been able to visit to see it for myself.

Thanks.

Yes, I am looking but I may enlist the help of some of our friends here on the connection of the person you seek.

Before I post his name, is that okay with you? Let me know and we can summarize the whole thread!

Ok...it's almost 3 am..time to get ready for work.

Do you always get ready for work at 3am? That's pretty early.

As for work..yes, I'm at at 2 am daily and work a full shift (and then some). I have to be at work by 4 am!!! Someone shoot me now, please...

Actually, just started a new job and I do really like it. I just need to adjust to the hours now.

Gaetano, the pictures are awesome.

Does Strada S. Pietro, Montemiletto (St. Peter's Road) mean anything to anyone? I read this in one of the Ellis Island records. I was wondering if this is the name of a street in Montemiletto.

Thanks in advance.

There isn't St. Peter's Road but a church. Its name is St. Peter's Church. Probably I have a picture. Do you want it?

Sure, Gaetano, that would be great. Doesn't strada mean road? I'm not sure I understand why this would be stated the Ellis Island records.

I will research the parish of St. Peter's in Montemiletto. Maybe this is the parish my family belonged to. If so, I would like to write them to see if they can provide some info: for example; baptisimal, confirmation & marriage certificates.

Gaetano, you stated a while back that you found records for Ciriaco & Rosa. Could you email me any of the info that is stated on the record(s)? I wonder if these are the same people.

Thanks,
John
