I was wondering if there is a site that I can
get information on my Grandfather.
He fought for the italian army from Sicily in 1933-1943
He was captured by the Germans and spent
two years in a work camp. He is still alive
and I would like to get records of where
it was that he fought and where he spent
the two years in camp.
Thank you

Re: Italian/Sicilian Army records WW2
Members Suanj and Riccardo have mentioned addresses of where to request military info before. Perhaps they can help you?

Re: Italian/Sicilian Army records WW2
Barruzza,
grandfather of my wife was captured by the Germans and spent two years in a work camp.
I tried to request his military record, but I was not egible to do that, only him and people strictly related to him (this is the answer from military district of Palermo, Sicily)
I also suggest this web site for WW2 Prisoners of war
http://home.arcor.de/kriegsgefangene/index.html
I hope it helps, bye Riccardo

barruzza: because your grandfather is still living, he must request the militar records in Italy (you can help it), in the militar district of italian birthplace... regards, suanjbarruzza wrote:I was wondering if there is a site that I can
