Hi Everyone,

Thanks so much for your thoughtfulness in doing this!

I have been keeping my phone line open (no computer hookup) cause he has a little jaundice & new parents & grandparents are worried sick....getting updates from them throughout the day. We know he will be fine (in our heads) & that it's very common...just doesn't make it easier! Sure wish they weren't 5 hours away, but very glad I was able to be there for the birth.

Here is a picture of Ty in his going home outfit.

Love to all,

Joyce

ps. Suanj.....It is truly a beautiful card. Thank you.
pps. Emmy, I will get to posting links for those birth acts soon. Suanj, I think we are really going to need your help. She can only take pictures of the records with her digital camera & they are coming out really light....will try to get them as legible as possible. May need Nuccia's help too....she does better with resizing & linking!
ppps. Nuccia, thanks for linking those census records. Sorry I worried you.
pppps. Good night everyone & thanks again.

The End :)

Joyce,

Jesse had Jandice when he was born and of course, I went nuts too. That's what we do!

My doctor told me to give him lots of sun so I picked a nice sunny window and let him sleep in his carriage by it. Took almost 2 weeks (he was born in March) but it did go away. Try not to worry too much.

Of course I'll help with linking,,,

And remember, not the end, The Beginning...

Hugs

Aw - what a beautiful wee baby! You must be absolutely besotted with him :D

Both of mine were a bit jaundiced when they were born. Apparently it is more common among people of mediterranean origin. They are both just fine, and it hasn't done them any harm. It takes a week or two for the 'suntanned' look to go away. That doesn't stop you worrying however....

Keep smiling - he will be fine in a few days :D

My children and grandchildren have all had it, all were placed under a bilirubin (sp) light....but the best advice is a sunny window!!

He is a cutie........

Joyce,
That's a picture to treasure. He's a real bonny baby and lucky too, to have such a loving family and a very special Nonna. (Try not to worry, he will be OK my grandchildren had that too, I know it's ok us saying that to you but I do know how you must feel not being able to be there beside them )

Lots of love
God Bless
Emmy

ps. Many thanks Joyce for the pps but no hurry about the birth acts just you concentrate on your new grandson.

Thanks everyone,

With your words & support, the worrying is easier.

They now have a bilirubin (sp loooks good to me!) blanket (use to be a special bed) that wraps around him. Home health recommand that + sunny window....and with mom's milk, should be gone soon.

I'm tearing up everytime I look at his pictures (just a few thousand times a day). Just want to cuddle him so much......darn kids...they have no right to move away!

Love to all,
Joyce

Oh don't worry, Joyce!

We're here for you! I think you're going through separation anxiety and sympathetic post partum....

He's so beautiful! (This is where we do the horns! so we don't give him the evil eye!).

If it makes you feel any better, we really need you here! This will keep you busy for a while until you get to see him again. :D :D :D

You know my email if you need to vent...Lord knows I've done it to you enough!

Hugs
