I am looking for surname Castaldini. The ones who are related to me come from Cento in Ferrara.

The husband's name is Angelo, the wife's name is Rosa. They had two girls in Italy before Emigrating to the US - Mary and Edith. They were here when their son was born in 1901. They came through Ellis Island. Angelo came first, followed a couple of months by Rosa, Mary and Edith. They settled in Boston where they lived until they died. Rosa gave birth to a total of 11 children, but lost one during childhood.

I would like enough information to be able to continue searching. I don't know middle names (if applicable), or dates of birth, or maiden name, or parents, or how many siblings. Angelo and Rosa are my paternal grandmother's parents.

The Castle Gardens transcriptions are obviously better... who knows what the Ellis Island transcription is for this manifest...

(first name M, last name C), just not these folks...
Appears they may be travelling with a brother (girls are 'nieces')

Children listed are .. Ida (could be Editta or Edith....) and the other sister is Maria...

I do not see the words nieces anywhere... but the word "children... "

This Rosa Alfieri (?) is married to an Angelo Castaldini... at 16 North Square...

Looks like a really good manifest to me....

Not sure if this name "Alfieri??" is a maiden name... or a given name....
