interesting links problem

Post by ally »

Hello everyone,

Was wondering if any of you have this problem with this section of the web page.

Since the arrival of this new space "off topic" I came to notice that the section marked with interesting links is blank. It shows the plus/minus sign and the rest is a big white box.

I pm Edmondo, he has no clue as to why this happened. I use to have the "advertisements" there until now. He stated he never had anyone say they had this problem also.

Now looking to you guys for some suggestions, I tried playing with the plus/minus signs, no luck!!

Does anyone have any ideas about what happened to them???? Or how to get them back for that matter!

Thanks,

Ally : :)

Hi Ally,

Til reading this post I haven't paid that much attention to "interesting links. (go to sponsors sometimes!) "....but after reading this, notice the links are fine on home page, but blank on this post page (all post pages?). Not sure if this is normal.

Hi Joyce,

For now, just wanted to know I wasn't going nuts!!!

I mean I visited the sites sometimes, like you ,not always.

Will learn to live without it as long as the rest of the site works fine.m That is the most important part of this!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!! :)

If you have Microsoft Explorer please try these steps and let me know the result.

Delete temporary internet files
- Close all open browser windows
- Start your browser
- Click the 'Tools' menu at the top of your browser, and select 'Internet Options.'
- Click the 'General' tab at the top of the dialogue box.
- Click 'Delete Files' under 'Temporary Internet files.'
- Select 'Delete all offline content' by checking the box.
- Click 'OK.'
This can take several minutes!

Be sure Java script is enabled
- Select 'Tools' from the top menu
- Choose 'Internet Options'
- Click on the 'Security' tab
- Click on 'Custom Level'
- Scroll down until you see section labled 'Scripting'
- Under 'Active Scripting', select 'Enable' and click OK

Edmondo,

Hi, thanks for the step by step, it seems it still is not working. I appeciate all your trying to do to help me, but now that I done all the above, it is
stating the page you are looking at might be experinecing problems etc.

You know like when you turn on your computer and your homepage doest come up.

For now, I am leaving it the way it is, as long as I can read/post on the forums and pm people, I wont complain.

Sorry I wont be able to visit your sponsors though.

Thanks again for your helpful insight!

Nuccia. :)

Hello and glad to hear your well. And your taking some time off is a plus too!!!

I am glad you guys made moderators, and I am quite sure you will all do your best!!!! You guys have the knack, (as they say). I am behind you all the way, as I am sure a lot of others are also.

How is the weather in Canada??? Today was kinda muggy, but spot showers all day, so we really didn't do much. Just school shopping etc.

Well Ally..its the last long weekend of the summer and now my kids are getting ready for school...

I'm kind of glad...I got nothing done this summer and the house is still a mess. Hoping to straighten it out a bit this weekend but I'm not going to hold my breath. With the new job I have and the god awful hours and the research and the kids I think I burnt out...where did the summer go? I missed it all.

Will be so glad to get back to a normal life..

Speaking of showers..it hasn't stopped raining all day..really yukky and fall like out there.

Hi Nuccia,

My darlings go back Monday the 11th. Cannot wait. I think this summer flew by way to fast also. Now it is time to start cracking open the books.

Between the past couple of weeks with all that rain, it really was a lousy end of summer for them.

Glad your doing well. And yes, I think it is time to fix up the house.
My chore next week too.

How is the reseach coming along?? Mine is going good. Trish found me another birth record, so I am happy. Now just trying to figure out this Larry kid from 1900 in the house.

Have a good weekend,

Ally
