Edit Function

Post by nuccia »

Is it just me or has the edit feature been disabled? What happened...what did I miss? :?

Is anyone else having the same problem?

Edmondo, you have to give me edit or spell check....

Ok, now I'm really confused. On this post I am able to edit yet in other posts the function is not there....

And I swear I'm wearing my glasses this time!

Joyce, glad I wasn't having a "moment" as you say...

Nuccia,

This is strange....On this thread, the 1st post by you has no edit, 2nd post (by me) has an edit, your last post, no edit.

Not a "moment" senior or otherwise....the "edit" button isn't showing on many posts.

That makes sense since you can only see and edit your own posts...

But if you check the other threads in the other topic sections you may not have an edit icon at all...Did I just make sense there? I'd hate to have to edit this after I post..

I don't know why, but I thought that the "edit" button was shown on all posts even though you can only edit your own posts??  :?

It could be this:
A Moderator is given an 'edit facility' for ALL posts, regardless of who they are from.

Ordinary - (in the 'nicest possible sense') - members will only have the 'edit' button on their OWN posts. An ordinary member may not edit another's posts.

Some sites remove the option for everyone. Yet others put a time limit (often 30 mins) on the facility.

Any of the above could be an explanation of 'WHY'?

Function once existed..now its gone. Guess Edmondo made some changes to the different boards. I can edit my own posts in this board but not on the others.

Oh well, no matter. I'll live.

I thought that was the way it's always been ... never seen it any other way ... :(
