DODERA or DODERO

Over 25 million Italians have emigrated between 1861 and 1960 with a migration boom between 1871 and 1915 when over 13,5 million emigrants left the country for European and overseas destinations.

DODERA or DODERO

Post by aligar50 »

Hi, I'm looking for the baptism or birth certificate of
GIOVANNI BATTISTA DODERA BARLEANA
His parents were Lorenzo Dodera and Catalina Barleana
He was born in Roviasca or Quiliano (Savona) around 1848 and emigrated to Uruguay where he died.
Thank you very much for any help.
Best regards, Alicia

Hi Alicia,

Welcome to the forum!

Here is the official website for the town of Quiliano. Roviasca is a hamlet of this town & its vital records are in Quiliano.

http://www.comune.quiliano.sv.it/

To write or email for records:

Ufficio Demografici
Comune di Quiliano
Località Massapè, 27
17047 QUILIANO (SV)
ITALY

Email address: ufficio.demografici@comune.quiliano.sv.it

All requests should be in Italian & when writing include a self addressed return envelope, a copy of your photo ID (Do you have this in Uruguay?) & an international reply coupon. IRC can be obtained from your post office & they cover the cost of the return postage.

Form letter that will translate your request to Italian.

Hope this helps.
