Dino.

Post by MikeSavoca91 »

Does anyone like Dean Martin here? I just figured I'd ask, because he is one of my favorites to listen to. He is what plays as I do my genealogy work, and I don't know any who is better. Kinda odd for a 15 year old isn't it  ?

Sounds like you're a 15 year old with good taste. Now if you add a little Sinatra to your mix, you'll be all set.

I already have, that really was the golden age of music! I wish like so many I'm sure that I could have met Dean or Frank, the Rat Pack rocked.

Although it's too late to see Sinatra or Martin, you could still see Tony Bennett on his current tour. It might be the last chance to see one of the true saloon singers.

You are right, I really should go see him I don't want to miss one of the last links to that generation. I come from the same area as Tony so that would be pretty cool.

Go to http://www.tonybennett.net to see his tour dates. He'll be in Verona (NY) and Atlantic City (NJ). I saw Sinatra when I was just a couple of years younger than you and I've never forgotten it.

I wouldn't forget it either, I got a phone call from Dean's daughter Deana and I won't ever forget that! She was very nice to me. I will see if I can try to make a Benett show, that is something I really want to do.

I'm with you Lee..loved those Dean and Jerry films! I remember looking forward to Saturday afternoons when they played all those old movies and sitting with my mother and grandmother to watch them.
