Ellis Island.
No hits as a first name.

hello vj, thanks for that, as she would have said the name verbally to the registrar at the time i can only guess which one it could be, she did not write or speak english at the time so he would have written it down as she said it, what do you think, thanks again john

The spelling of a surname will vary according to where in Italy she originated from....Have you any information on what part of Italy she could have originated from?

My knowledge of Italian Genealogy is thorough enough to know that surname spellings will vary according to the area from which they came, so I can provide no more than an educated guess as VJ did above.
Using a surname database, I did come up with the following spelling specific to the areas listed.......for a true expert opinion, we need one of our Italian members to comment!!!

Mignano Monte Lungo- Caserta- Di Nallo

Vairano Patenora- Caserta -Di Nallo

Rocca D`Evandro- Caserta -Di Nallo
