Is This Impossible?

Post by Natalie1 »

I would love to be able to get my Great-Great Grandmother's death certificate. The problem is that I don't have any idea when she passed away. Her name was Camilla Pellegrino and she came over to NYC from Ferrandina through Ellis Island in 1905, a Widow & 53 years old. That is all I know of her :( . So, is it impossible for me to get a death certificate for her? Am I hitting a wall? Sigh.....

Hi Natalie,

Can you tell us what you've tried so far? That way, we won't waste your time with suggestions that you already know don't work.

Good luck, Peggy M

Yes, Virelli was her husband's name. That # 26332, is that the certificate number? Wow! This just might be her! How did you get that? Soundex? I forgot how to use that  Thank you so much. I'm going to send off for it. I'll let you know when I get it. Thanks again!

Peggy,
I haven't tried anything so far because I thought I needed a date of death and I didn't have it or know how to get that info.! I think Valarie may have found it for me by using the Soundex? I'm going to send off for it. Yes, please do wish me luck!! :)
