I have registered for an elementary Italian course

Post by peggymckee »

Hi all!

I registered for elementary Italian, 1 hour a day, 5 days a week, at my local community college, cost a little less then $600 for one semester. From what I can tell the Italian instruction there is very good--they offer intermediate, conversational and advanced courses, as well as 2 levels of elementary.

I hope my brain will absorb it! Wish me luck! Peg

Peggy,
Best of luck with your Italian classes!!!

I've posted these before but here's some links I've found useful in learning Italian and in writing and translating.

Word Reference Dictionary and Verb Conjugator

Basic Italian Grammar

Interactive Italian Lessons

Italian Grammar and Phrase, Vocabulary Builder

Hope these help.

Dear Peggy,

Good luck with your Italian classes. I've been studying for 10 years, and it is just so wonderful. Our library has some classic Italian movies with sub-titles. This is a great help with pronunciation. When you study, try to construct little scenarios and try to think little by little in Italian. And even if people think you are nuts, talk out loud. In bocca al lupo....! NOLA
