researching caivano family of potenza which emigrated to America between 1875 and 1915. Am direct descendant of Pasquale Caivano of picerno who was born around 1888, emigrated in 1899, married Gisela Link and died in Pennsylvania in 1958.

That's our family as well. When my wife visited Picerno last summer, and inquired about the Caivano's we were told you couldn't swing a cat without hitting one there. LOL Big family.

Our branch settled into NYC around 1880. Luigi Caivano was born in Picerno. His daughter, Marianina married my grandfather, Luigi De Stefano in 1903 or so.
