Trying to find more info on family

Hello, know partial information on both my grandma's family (Prestonacci) from Calabria and grandfather with last name Eraci. He came to the states very young from Siciliy. I have looked on various search engines and other sites. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks

I don't know to much info prior to my grandparents. Do know my great-grandparents names etc. Also don't know what happened to some of the cousins and brother/sisters of my grandfather. Also my cousin is trying to find info on his family side and things are not that clear from his grandfather and stories seem to conflict. Basically trying to put the missing links together. thanks.

May I suggest you acquire the book Italian genealogical Records by Trafford R. Cole. it is an easy read and should set you straight. Peter

Hi: Prestonacci surname not exist in Italy.. Eraci small presence(Emilia Romagna region), probable coming from misspelling sicialian original surname Iraci..
Exist only in Calabria region PRESTINACE surname and
PRESTINACI also coming from Calabria region, more small presence in 2 others region.. regards, suanj

I have been researching the Prestonacci family ( I spelled it Prestinacci) for a while, because they are related to my recently deceased mother-in-law. I have pictures of two of Rose's daughters, Mary Eraci Bava and Evelyn Eraci Glieberman. If you would like to trade info, please reply to this. I didn't see this until today, and have only been doing this research on that family since Nov of 2005. Rose's parents were Antonio and Philomena? Prestinacci, and I am about to send for their death certificates to see which of them is my mother-in-law's relative. There is nobody left to ask.
