Can anyone tell me what SESSA A'S would be, or where it would be? Found it listed on an immigration record. :D

The Directory and map site will prove very helpful to me. I appreciate you assistance. Are you able to read and write italian? I would like to see if I could find a site that would have vital records or a church site there that would have family records.

You can go to the family history library of the mormon church nerest your home and rent the micorfilm of civil records for Sessa Araunca dating back to the early 1809 to 1865. Coipies of birth,marriage and death records can be made. You may also wish to write to the municipal authorities for same records (let me know) and go to www.paginebianche.it for possible relatives bearing the same surname (line 1 and 3 and click CERCA). There are 6 parish churches in Sessa Aurunca and their records are depenmdetn upon the cooperation of the local priest and are not on any website. The civil records can be obtained by writing to Ufficio di Stato Civile, Comune di Sessa Aurunca, postale 81037, province of caserta, Campanika region, Italy and including a form letter in Italian by going to www.circolocalabrfese.org for copies of such form letters and include a self addressed envelope with $5.00 even though the service is free. I really appreciate the help you've all kindly given me. As for the Mormon church, I do know about that. I have ordered some copies of CD's they've offered for Vital statistics, census's and a few other things. It will take a couple weeks before we get them. They don't charge much for the cd's, just enough to recoup costs it seems.

Well, I have some work to do on this - thank you all again! I'll let you know if I make out.
