Parmigiano Family from Peshche, Isernia

Post by anabella »

Hi
My name is Anabella Parmigiano, I am looking for any information about my greatgrandparent, Salvatore Parmigiano, born circa 1880 in Pesche, and migrated first to Brasil and finally in Argentina, his son, my grandparent, was Antonio Parmigiano, born in Pesche the 4th of May of 1914, any info is really appreciated! as I cant find anything myself!

Dear Ana I did a quick check for Salvatore in the Sao paolo area coming in thru Rio De Janeiro and could only find Carlo and Cesare Parmigiano arriving in 1890 and 1891 as "husbands" so presumably came with their families but there is no record for Salvatore who is either a widower or single when he arrived in Buenos Aires on September 25, 1915 on the Regina Elena at age 35. Do youi wish me to find additional information sinc e you do not say whether he remained there and married. Please advise if you have more iqnuiries to make. =Peter=

Dear Peter: thank you!!!
Salvatore was married in Italy, went to to Sao Paulo, had 4 or 5 kids there, went back to Pesche, had my Gandparent Antonio in 1914, and after that all came to Argentina (all with the same wife but maybe she stayed in Italy and came to Argentina later?) but I have no aditional info, I cant find any record of Antonio Parmigiano (he came to Argentina in his teens years) in any ship.
If you can find any aditional info or tell me where to find I will really thank you!

Is it possible that Antonio had a different first name since the only person listed in coming to Argentina with a Parmigiano surname that is a teenager is CARMINE age 18 and the remaining 9 are all above 20 myears of age. Please advise.=Peter=

There is a listing for 10 Parmigiano entering Argentina during those early years. Ypou may wish to consult the Argentina telephone guide for anyone of the 25 listed with the surname Parmigiano. Go to www.paginasamarillas.com.ar and select "telefonos" and when the blue box comes up just put in Parmigiano and nothing else and then click BUSCAR and all 25 listings will appear. There is nio listing for Antonio in any of the 25. Perhaps you canidentify anotgher first name that is familar to you. =Peter=

Could this be your Salvatore?
He was born in Pesche on the 19th of August, 1880
