Fannie Lacovaro

Can someone help me find census records for Fannie Lacovaro. She was my italian great grandmother and she was born in Washington, D.C. in the 1890s or late 1880s. I can find no record of her. I am also looking for her marriage record to Frank Forame.

At same address as 1900 census although Giovanni is now Charles and birthplace of Fannie is District of Columbia

Go to the following site and search for Lacovaro. It should result in three articvles that appeared in DC newspapers in the early 1900s where a G Lacovaro's name appears as a member of the local Eagles Lodge.

Beginning of an article from the Washington Post 18 Aug 1921:
"John Lacovaro, 62-year-old grocer, was mysteriously murdered in his store at 46 F street northwest shortly before 11 o'clock last night when a man entered the store and fired upon him killing him almost instantly." Beginning of 400 word article available for purchase. The John/Charles Lacovaro on the 1900 and 1910 census records stated his occupation as a tailor so this might be a different person but.....

48 F St NW.

There might have been two John Lacovaro's in DC--one a grocer; the other a tailor. Fannie's father was a tailor aka Charles not a grocer. If someone could post the entire article, we might find some answers.

John Lacovaro was Charles' son and he was a jeweller. My Papa(grandad) lived with him until he was murdered and then he went to live in an orphanage. My Papa's parents: Fannie Lacovaro and Frank Forame died in the flu epidemic.

It would still be nice if someone could post the article.
