Family name

Post by sellitto »

I am looking for information on my family in Italy. The family name is Villano. I believe that they came from southern Italy. I only have my grandmother's name Pasquelina. If anyone has any information on my family please let me know.

Thank you

Sellitto,

Was Villano her maiden name? Who was her husband? Where did they settle in the US? Names of their children? Approximate birth dates?

The more information you provide, the better we'll be able to help you locate records.

Thank you for getting back to me. My Grandmother's name is Pasquelina Villano. She married Giovanni Sellitto and they lived in Susquehanna Pennsylvania. They had many children Susan, John, Guido, Anthony, Anna, Ralph, and Vincent, that I know of. I hope that you will be able to get me more information on my family.

Thank you

There is only one pasqualina Villano listed on Ellis Island that fits a time frame. For some reason, (again, Biff  ) I can't pull up the manifest.

YOU MAY HAVE A GOOD CONTACT IN THE ONLY CATHOLIC CHURCH IN THE VILLAGE. THE CHURCH ALSO HAS DATA ON THE CEMETERY.
I DID VISIT THE CHURCH AND I WAS DIRECTED TO THE BURIAL PLOTS WHERE TWO OF MY GRANDMOTHERS SISTERS ARE BURIED.
IT'S FUNNY HOW ONES MIND WORKS, IF I DIDN'T KNOW BETTER(OR IT'S PLAYING TRICKS ON ME) I ALMOST RECALL SEEING SEVERAL TOMBSTONES WITH THE NAME VILLANO.
GIVE THE CHURCH A CALL AND SEE IF YOU HAVE ANY SUCCESS.
