1920 or 1930 Census for Salvatore Perrino

Post by joyceperrino »

I have hit a dead end... Last November 2007 we went to Comune of Molise,Italy looking for relatives of my grandafther Antonio Perrino... The locals told us that almost everyone had left this small comune for somewhere else in the world.. What we did find strange was they told us that in the summer of 2006 another Perrino from the USA was looking for the same information that we were searching for.. All they could remember was he was a big man with Marrone (brown) color hair.. They kept stressing this color and we still can not figure out why? They said they think he was from New York .. We think it could be the relatives of Salvatore Perrino my grandfathers brother... Salvatore is listed as entering the USA from Ellis Island in May of 1905 going to his brother in law Nicola Colaneri in Larimer,Pa. Nicola's wife was Maria Giovanna Perrino my grandfathers sister and My Grandfather married Virginia Colaneri from Frosolone,Italy... This is where we hit a dead end. . Salvatore did not stay in Larimer,Pa and we have no idea where he went.. My Mother said she did remember mt Grandfather Antonio and my father Mike going to Buffalo,Ny and then to Toronto Canada to visit a relative in the 1940's. But, she does know who they visited..I was wondering if anyone could look up a 1920 or 1930 USA or maybe a Canadian census for me and would look up Salvatore Perrino who was from either Molise or Campobasso Italy?.

Thank you all so much... I have to figure this all out.. The 1910 census Is My grandfather Antonio (tony) Perrino.. I had no idea his brothers Donato and Salvarore or Salvanio lived and worked with him... The Cirelli's are most likely his Mothers family ..His mother was Rosa Cirelli.
Donato (Dan) Perrino we found out when we visited Molise,Italy last year,, Died in WW1 in 1915.. I knew Donato visited but did not know he lived with my grandfather as a coal miner and boarder in 1910.. It appears Salvatore must have came over in 1905 and worked in the Coal mines with my grandfather to 1910 or later...Or went back like Donato and was caught up in WW1 and stuck in Italy till after the War.. Returned to the USA in 1922 to visit or he stayed
