1930 Census - Brooklyn, NY

Ralph Rinella 42 immigrated 1891
Rose Rinella 39 immigrated 1891
(married 23-24 years, approx 1906-1907)
(All children born in NY)
Rosaline Rinella 20
James Rinella 18
Mary Rinella 16
Madeline Rinella 13
Margaret Rinella 8
Jenny Rinella 10
Michael Rinella 7
Yolanda Rinella 5
Ralph Rinella 4

1920 Census - Brooklyn NY

Ralph Renclio 32 immigrated 1900 Naturalized 191?
Rose Renclio 28 immigrated 1895 Naturalized 191?
Rose Renclio 9
Vince Renclio 7
Mary Renclio 5
Madeline Renclio 3 6/12
Jennie Renclio 7/12
(Renclio looks like Rinella though, just transcribed incorrectly)

Some conflicting information between the two census' when it comes to immigration year, I would put more faith in the 1920 info...

WWII Draft Registration:
Ralph Rinello - 27 Mar 1888 - Paula, Italy - Brooklyn, New York White

WWI Draft Registration:
Ralph Rinello - 17 May 1886 - White Brooklyn, Kings, NY

(again some more inconsistancy, I would lean toward the 1888 date since it seems to jive with the census data)

Best of luck,

Mike

No, I don't see marriage record (they are usually found at a county level of government).... Madeline's maiden name seems to have been Mathias..

California Birth Index, 1905-1995
Name: Leonard Rinella
Birth Date: 16 May 1946
Gender: Male
Mother's Maiden Name: Mathias
Birth County: Santa Clara

Name: Wesley Michael Rinella
Birth Date: 16 Jan 1949
Gender: Male
Mother's Maiden Name: Mathias
Birth County: Santa Clara

Cynthia Rinella
Birth Date: 10 Nov 1950
Gender: Female
Mother's Maiden Name: Mathias
Birth County: Santa Clara

California Voter Registration
Madeline Mathias - Santa Clara County 1940

(We can assume Madeline and Antonio married between 1940-1946)
check with Santa Clara County Recorder to ask about birth and marriage index:

East Wing, First floor
70 West Hedding Street
San Jose, CA 95112
(408) 299-2481

Some other stuff:

California Marriage Index
Leonard Rinella born abt 1946
Shirley A Ridgway born abt 1947
Marriage Date: 30 Dec 1965 Santa Clara

California Divorce Index
Leonard N Rinella
Shirley A Ridgway
Santa Clara Sep 1975

Best of luck,

Mike,

Ok, what about Madeline Mathias's husband Antonio Rinella? I am sure his ancestors are from Italy, maybe Sicily...

I know this discussion is 2 years old but:

There were 2 men named Ralph Rinello in the 1920 Census AND they lived on the same street.

#1 Ralph Rinello, 33 Spencer St, Brooklyn DOB 17 May 1886 (ED245)
#2 Ralph Rinello, 38 Spencer S, Brooklyn, DOB 27 Mar 1888 (ED244)

I am sure they were related but the one on my family tree is #1
