Quattrini, Canale, Morolo Italy. HELP!!

Where to begin!! I have been spending hours on research - but unless you are loaded with cash 8O , you don't seem to be able to get too far! I am trying to find information on my husbands family from Morolo, Italy.

Nicola Quattrini (b. 1871?) married Crociffissa (b. 1861, d. 1940). I think she was remarried after Nicola died to a Canale.

The ships manifest for Crocifissa shows she had a daughter in Roma (?) named Nazzarena. THe writing is hard to read. This would have been in April 1924.

More info with the daughter's name was: Viale Pre toriano 2
Don't have a clue on this! Also don't know if the daughter was a Canale or Quattrini.

Anybody out there that can help????

Can you post Crocifissa's manifest or tell us her maiden name?

I do not have Crocifissa's maiden name.

I don't have a death date for Nicola. I know Crocifissa died in the sates, in Sayre PA. She also went by Alcie. I think Nicola had the first name Quisittie, but not completely sure - found this name on one of their daughter's obits.

Did Nicola come to the States or did he die in Italy? I see she was in PA. Did they live anywhere else when they first came to US?

I can only guess that he died in Italy based on her grave site being solo.

I have found Nicola's arrival to the US a few times on the ellis island and Castle Garden sites. Latest date for him was in 1909.

Augusto, I think, would be August- my husbands grandfather! He is barried here in the states. Didn't have knowledge of the brother Angelo.

This all started because my daughter had to do her family tree in school. I would so love to be able to connect all the dots for my husband. We just know we have relatives in Italy still!

I think Misbris can be right, perhaps Canali was her maiden name....
Probably also the 1913 arrival manifest about Nazzarena Quattrini is correct...
Don't know if this person is related to your family but I want to show you this passport about Giuseppe Quattrini because this person said his father Pietro was living in Morolo Italy and I saw Nazzarena declared to leave in Italy herfather Pietro....
In the second page of the passport you can find also Giuseppe's photo!

so in 1913 (Nazzarena's arrival) their father Pietro was living but in 1915 (Angelo's arrival) probable was deceased because Angelo declared his uncle Francesco as nearest relative in Italy....
