allegati di nati
So what exactly does this mean and how is it useful when researching records from the LDS microfilms? There are also allgati di morti, etc. Seems like supplemental records but why are they supplemental if true? Just curious

John, this may help
Valarie
From Lynn Nelson’s Discovering Your Italian Ancestors:
"The processetti or allegatti are the documents that
the bride and groom had to present to be married.
Generally, they consist of their birth records, the
death records of their parents (if they are no longer
living), the pubblicazioni of the wedding banns,
and proof that there was no opposition to their
union. If both parents and the paternal grandfather
of the bride or groom were dead, the death record
of the paternal grandfather may also be part of the
processetti. If either the bride or groom had been
married before, the death record of the late spouse
would also be included.
These documents that the bride and groom
presented were really extracts of the originals."

Re: allegati di nati
Not only.
The "Allegati" are the documents thanks them the acts are written.
For example in the "allegati nati" you'll find the documents written by midwife to proff the birth or in side the "allegati morti" you'll find the death certificate written by legal doctor, etc.

Hi wishyou............for the allegati morti where the doctor writes.....will it list the cause of death?
Re: allegati di nati
Abitually yes.
It's the coroner certificate and he has to estabilish the cause of death.
