Hi Mark!

What type of information are you looking for? Not sure where you have already looked so not sure what to suggest.

Have you tried going through the www.stevemorse.org site and viewing the manifests for that surname? Have you tried the Italian Phone listings for living persons with that surname in Italy?

Maybe if you provide a little more info we can direct you better. Let us know!

Hi Nuccia,

Yea, I tried the www.stevemorse.org site but my 14 days trial for ancestry.com was expired :(

All I need is the information on that Taormina and need the surname for that Antonina and birth date for Caterina ( Cortesi ) Piazza and as well the information on her husband Antonino "Tony" Piazza...

You can check my recent post for more information...

While there is often a large span between first and last children, this represents a 31 year span between Caterina and Matteo. Are the dates accurate or a typo?

There was also a Domincio Cortesi in the CA death records, born 1886 with mother name Taormino...any relation?

Hi Essgee,

Yea, I noticed the large span between first and last children... the reason was that as for Matteo, I was not sure where to put him between the genealogy of mine... But your Domincio did fit to his sibling of Matteo under the Mother Taormino...

I have the problem: My Great Grandmother, Caterina Coresti Piazza and Another Great Grandmother Lena Coresti DiVittorio came from same Coresti Family which made both of my Grandparents first cousins... I am tried to straight it out...

The 31 year span between the siblings is really good question...

And those Great Grandmothers were from Taormina Family is a BIG question for me...

Have you gone to Genforum for the surname Taormina? If you go, once you get to the Taormina surname, search for Trabia. It comes up with two pages of posts of Taormina posts that included the name Trabia. These are researchers looking specifically for Taorminas that started in Trabia.

Some are old posts, but you can still try and post to them..nothing to loose. Maybe someone has access to the civil records and can provide you with additional information.

These people ended up all over the country, but many in the California area. Check it out. It may enable you to sort out who is whom.
