Property value

Post by mhprep »

I have a situation, a home that my Grandfather owned in Valle Vica Dore? Is now in control by my uncles. They want to buy our (the grandchildren) shares from us for very little US dollars or have us help pay for the upkeep.
The house is supposed to be huge? Who knows, but I was wondering how to find out to property value and if the uncles are trying to take advantege of us thinking that we a niave and cannot use the internet.
The family name is Giachetti - Grandfather is Mario. Any help would be greatley appreciated!

Do you mean Valle di Cadore , Provincia Belluno? This is the town of my Great-Grandmother's birth.

Amelia Delfavero Da Via

All of the Baptisms, Marriages and Deaths of Valle have been extracted to about the year 1870 on this website....

Thank you James! It is Valle di Cadore and they've shortened the name in the states! I've found Grandpa now I just need to find the property! The title search idea cost $295 USA. Ouch! I'll keep trying the internet:)

Dear MHprep sometimes an expense is actually an investment. A schooled Italian property attorney,if you have not already made inquiries in this direction, can be a valuable assist. I know of such an attorney. Please let me know if you wish to pursue this aveneue. =Peter

Peter, if they had the money to look in to this I'm sure they would find that bigger things would be there, but they & I do not. Thank you for your offer though!

Wish you, I only know the family name not the address. Family name is Giacchetti. Grandfather is Mario. If that helps at all?

CAMPOBASSO - CASACALENDA - LARINO

Looking for a father & son (2 generations) of Doctors in those regions during 1850-1900. Don't know the surname, just know I have these doctors in my family line. Does any one know how I can find these doctors, what documents I should be looking for and where I can find those documents? If any one knows of any doctors during that period in the Campobasso region of Molise, Italy - please let me know.

Thanks!
