Settefrati & Naso

Post by pietrog »

My Grandparents are from the towns of Settefrati & Naso and I am curious if anyone can recommend how to find Birth Certificates and Marriage Licence. I reside in the US so any online resources would be great.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. My geneaology starts at Ellis Island in 1901.

Best Regards,
-P

I have just been advised that this secon link is out of order as well. May I suggest turning lemon into lemonade!!! Go to your nearest bookstore or library and acquire the book ITALIAN GENEALOGICAL RECORDS by Trafford R Cole which is an easy read, a great reference work with excellent fotos. Once you read the book you will be able to conduct your own genealogy at your own pace with the satisfaction of doing a good job. =Peter=

I believe we can get around this obstacle course for the excellent work:

GO TO WWW.ANGELFIRE.COM/OK3/PEARLSOFWISDOM When this page appears click the following highlighted areain the first paragraph:

"freely learn How to do Italian Genealogy Research"

This will overcome the obstacle we have been encountering. =Peter=

If this is troublesome then just type in the url by hand in your address box: www.angelfire.com/ok3/pearls of wisdom and you can go directly that way. Sorry and I apologize for any inconvenience. =Peter=

OOPs! put the www.angelfire.com/ok3/pearls of wisdom in the title of www.google.com since there are obvious problems. =Peter=

The staff in Settefrati are quite helpful but don't expect them to construct your family tree for you. They will send you the certificates you request and will search a year or two around the dates you give.

Include an addressed envelope and 5 euro (in cash) for each certificate that you need them to search for. Tell them not to send change, just have a coffee on you.

Ann,

Thank you for the reply. I assume the letters need to be drafted in Italian?

Thanks,
