Hi all, I have another quest that I am looking into. First off though I would like to say this saturday I will be speaking first hand with relatives from Sicily that I would have never found if it was not for the people on this site that made it possible for me to do so. Out of sheer luck I was contacted by people in America who came from Mussomeli that own a eatery in Mussomeli who Know my relatives first hand. They had contacted me from one of my old forums. We spoke and they are setting up a meeting between us to act as translators.
Thank you all again.
Now, I am looking into dual citizen ship. Per the italian Embasy in NY, they advise since my father ( Frank Romano 1928 to 2001 ) never renounced his italian citizen ship due to his father ( Lorenzo Romano 1889 to 1955 ) never becoming an american citizen that I could become a citizen of both America and Italy.
What are the steps I have to take to do this. Also what kind of documentation will I need.

You will need:
Birth Certificate for Lorenzo, Frank and Yours
Proof that Lorenzo never naturalized or naturalized after your father was born
Marriage Certificates for Lorenzo and Frank
Death certificates for Lorenzo and Frank
they then need to be translated and Apostelle

Thanks very much. Concerning my Grandfather I have an alien registar card , that was brought to my attention from BIFF on this site. I am plugging away at getting the rest of the docs. I think the hardest one for me to obtain are my Grandfathers birth certificate.
I will somehow have to get in touch with his hometown of PIAZZA ARMERINA , SICILIA

My grandmother Lena Nigrelli's birth certificate copy was sent to me today by my cousin in Sicily that I was able to contact through all the help I have received from everyone on this site.
