Michael how can you reduce genealogy to detective work in one fell swoop!! More likely it reduces your work load!! =Peter=

I hope you are not implying that I am asking other people to do my genealogy work for me.

Is that what you think?????

Calling genealogy research detective work made me wince but that is just my opinion but it did give rise to positive paranoia. So much for the power of words. =Peter=

Hi again Peter. Beleive me when I say I think of this as much more then mere detective work. I used the phrase due to the fact that we all do "research" and look for clues. I was not trying to imply at all that this was just research. These are the keys to all of our past, to our people, to our history.

However I do appreciate the fact that you are so willing to defend what people on this site do. I too would have probably questioned someone who wrote something that rubbed me the wrong way.

No harm no foul.

Since I am unsure of who came to America, and who did not......

You would like to connect with current relatives in Italy? While it may be time consuming, have you searched the decendants names thru
the following site?

Pagine

Depending on the results, potential relative letters could be sent,
an added bonus.......Italian women do not lose their surname as we in
America do. Let us know if this would be something of interest to you.

Hello Wldspirit. My apologies, I know I have a lot of info here.

The only two who came to america would be my Grandmother CARMELA ( Nickname LENA ) NIGRELLI and My great uncle SALVATORE NIGRELLI. They both came to Passaic NJ I have a good deal of the information on my grandmother however my uncle would be the point of interest for the american migration.

All the rest, I stayed in Italy ( sicily )

These are the ones I have the intrest in as well.

One of the main reasons I put all these names into one Forumn was because I did not want to have multiples going at the same time. It is confusing enough as is.

The other reason is because of all our members. I have the hope that someone somewhere will have info that may lead to a fountain of info to persue.

Hello Mr Peter. One of my new best friends : ) . No I have not used Angelfire but I will look into it. Thank you for the tip.
