Ronzani ancestry

Post by judio »

I am searching for any information on John or Mariana (Dalle Carbinare) Ronzani. John came in 1913, Mariana in 1915 with their baby, Dominic. They had two more children (Angela and Anthony)and lived in the Chicago area. After their divorce, things get sketchy. Both came through Ellis Island, and I got info there. This is not the same John Ronzani from Iron Mountain Michigan. Thanks for anything you can turn up.
Because I'm the Nana, that's why

Anything in Italy I would think? I need the town of origin in Italy since this is where the records and family history is archived. The www.ellisisland.org has several Ronzani from different towns all arriving in 1913. =Peter=

If Caltrano in Prov. Vicenza is the town of origin for the family you can rent for about $5.00 the microfilm and trace the family back to 1807 to 1900 for all births, marriages and deaths at your nearest Mormon church family history library (www.familysearch.org for location). Bring along the companion book Discovering Your Italian Ancestors by Lynn Nelson and a magnifying glass. =Peter=

A bit more on birth locations.
Valarie

Just for reference, your 1915 & 1913 manifests:

1915 manifest pg 1
page 2

25 Mar 1915 SS America, Genoa to NY
Lines 1-2

on pg 2 it doesn't look like Mariana Dalle Carbinare was born in Caltrano...

but it appears Domenico was born in Caltrano
---

1913 manifest pg 1
page 2

31 Mar 1913 SS Hamburg Genoa to NY
Line 27

It looks like Giovanni Ronzani was born in San Giacomo, Vicenza?
