On a few Birth Acts, I have found that babies were born 2 at night or 3 at night, etc. The majority of the Birth Acts were stated in military time but some of them are listed at an hour at night.
What is the time span in a day that would be considered at night? Would 2 at night be 2:00 P. M. or 2:00 A. M. ?
Help on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Hours considered to be "Night" hours

I would opt for 2AM. But why the need for this clarification? Peter

Peter, thank you for your reply. The reason I wanted to know is because I transcribe the complete Birth Act into English and include the English version along with the Italian Birth Act in my genealogy binder. I also do the same for Death Acts and Marriage Acts.
Again, thank you for your imput.
