Marriage records to translate 1st Document

Post by ChrisMosca »

I have some marriage records to translate there are 3 documents I will be posting separate, but One of the main things that I need translated or deciphered is the bride's mothers first and last name. These are Giovanni Gallo and Pasqualine Lippo, they got married on Dec 22 1916 in Malvito, Cosenza. I know Giovanni's parents name and Pasqualina's Dad name is Muzio Lippo which I haven't seen before, but I was able to confirm by finding his death record on the Archivio de Stato di Cosenza online records. I can't figure out her mothers name it looks like Alviria Vanicaro? or Uanicaro? very confused, I've tried different variations but nothing seems to work at the online archives. Any other info would also be great. Her name is underlined thanks again and sorry for the long intro.

eyetalgal, you are a genius It didn't even cross my mind to think of Vaccaro, I found her death record on the online archive and it is written there with the I too bad there archive is only from 1800-1900 and a lot of info is still incomplete thats why I'm still looking at the microfilms, thanks again.

P.S is there any other important info I should be aware of?

Chris,
Do the films have processetti? If so, find the oldest one. From the documents produced for the marriage, you can go back at least 2-3 generations more. My films stopped in 1810 and I found documents in the processetti that got me back to 1740. Good luck.
