Post by cindypal »

Hi. I'm a new member looking for information about my ancestors. The names are; Caprigno, Ventre, and before these, D'amato. I believe they were from Potenza. Thank you. cindy :?:

Dear Cindypal your question suggests that youmight be assisted in asking other more to the point questions in your genealogy research.

Welcome to IG!!

If you can provide more specific details, members can better direct your research. Have you collected all US documentation? Have you identified the exact town of origin? Before proceeding with Italian records you must know the town of origin as all documentation will be kept at the comune level.

Include full names, birth dates, even a year can be helpful, spouse and children, along with the location in which they lived and any records you have obtained so far.
