Hello my name is Tommy Saravo,

My grand father Guerino Saravo came to Canada in 1954 from Caserta. I've looked up the origine of the Saravo name but found nothing. I know that this name is not common in Italy and I was wondering here exactly does it come from in Italy or any information about the name.

Tommy I tried sending you a PM about a week ago or so but not sure if you've ever re-logged into here after your first posting.

I have Saravo's as part of my ancestors. It's not a very common name, going as far as I can trace it so far (in my family), to Roccamonfina, Caserta, I have a Raffaele Saravo who I think was born in 1892 and passed away in 1958. Let me know if you have that name anywhere in your family tree.

Tommy I guess we know now that we're like 2nd cousins...Your grandfather and my grandmother were brother and sister.

Saravo is a rare enough last name that it's easier to find matches when you find someone with that last name
