Surname Re - Genealogy Stall

Post by bryanre »

Hey All ~

I'm looking for help from the community on researching my ancestry line further.

I currently have my GGF birth cert from Rome:

Tito Re
Born: June 14, 1894
Rome
Father: Enrico Re
Mother: Matilde De Lillis

I also have two manifest from Enrico/Matilde's migration in the 1910's and later from a trip in the 1950's. The first list Cori, Italy has their place of birth...yet the city has no record of them.

The last manifest list Mucia as their place of birth...which is probably Muccia, Italy. There are a ton of "Re" names in the italian white pages for that area...so I'm thinking im getting a bit warmer.

Anybody know any great resources to move forward on this...online would be better...but I might just have to draft another letter.

Thanks,
Bryan Re

It is possible that the civil record officer of Cori searched in wrong year? by Mormon's microfilms the civil records starting from 1871

Topic Italy, Latina, Cori - Civil registration

Titles Registri dello stato civile, 1871-1910 Cori (Latina). Ufficio dello stato civile
http://www.familysearch.org/eng/library ... umns=*,0,0

and maybe you can find the marriage act ..
Muccia is in Macerata province, and it is hard to think why they was in Muccia..... In the travel of 1912 Matilda remained in Cori.. I believe that you can find the marriage act in the microfilms, so you can descover more....
only a suggestion,
regards,
suanj

suanj ~

thanks for the quick reply and highlighting additional direction to take...

I'll see if the Mormon records bring up in marriage info...and dig into the additional names a little more, Meloni/Ridardi.

thanks,

Bryan I believe that the surname of Bianca daughter is wrong, because Ridardi exist not in Italy... maybe Ricardi... (??)
