I am trying to find the father and mother's of Andrew Trego-abt.1828 might have lived in Ohio and his wife Pheeby. They are the parents of William Allen Trego-6/15/1855-4/15/1931 and he was married to Nancy "Ella" Caper or Casper.

Yes- that is him. I cannot find any info on his father or mother. I know that someone came over hee from Italy- not sure if it was his parents or not- but I am hitting a brick wall when it comes to him and Pheeby.

Do you think the name could have been different in Italy and then changed when they came to the United States? Just trying to figure out why no records have mentioned his mother or father.

Hi, I believe that Trego surname is spanish or Mexico area in some way... Trego is not a italian surname... similar italian surname spelling: Drago.

What documents do you have that indicate Italian ancestry?

In Ohio, records prior to 1907/1908 are by county. Many are on microfilm.

DEATH CALLS WM. A. TREGO
Resident of City His Entire Life Succumbs After Sev¬eral Years' Illness, -
William Allen Trego, aged 75, died at the home of his son, Allen Trego, 554 E. Main-st, Wednesday at 6 a. m Complications after several months illness took Mr. Trego's life.
He was a native of this city and a life-long resident here. He was born June 15, 1855, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Trego.
He was married Aug. 14, 1884 to Nancy Ellen Carpar who passed away July 20, 1920. Surviving are two children, Allen at whose home he died and Mrs. William Montgomery also of this city. One sister, Mrs. Mary Reeder, of Day¬ton, 0 , and one brother, Charles Of Arkansas, also survive
Funeral services will be held on Friday, at 3 p. m. at the Albaugh funeral chapel with Rev. Emil S. Toensmeier officiating, and burial in Forest cemetery by the Albaugh Co.

My Great Aunt said our family came over from Italy and that she tried to trace our family back when she was young and couldn't get past Andrew either. When she asked her father- he said it was because the rest of the family came over from Italy- so that is what I have been going on.
